No Work Permit Needed
As a citizen of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you do not need a work permit to work in Luxembourg. What remains is the registration with your commune after arrival and the documents to gather: we can handle that for you.
The official rules for EU citizens are on guichet.public.lu.

Your Permit Application Is Prepared Before You Arrive
With a signed employment contract, you apply for a long-stay visa (visa D) before you arrive, at the competent Luxembourg or Belgian embassy or consulate (procedure in force since 1 October 2026), with your employer's cooperation for the steps only they can take. We prepare the complete file with you, follow the application until the decision, then handle the arrival steps (declaration of arrival, medical check) and the residence permit card.
The visa D decision is taken by the Ministry of Home Affairs (General Department of Immigration) and rests with the Luxembourg authorities.

Without a Job Offer, No Salaried Work Permit Application
LuxRelo is an immigration and relocation services company. We do not provide job search, recruitment, CV writing or job placement services, and we cannot answer requests about finding a job. For salaried employment, we assist with your work permit application once you hold a signed job offer from a Luxembourg employer.
Other residence routes exist for non-EU nationals (family reunification, studies, research, self-employment): the official list is on guichet.public.lu.

A Renewal to Prepare
The renewal of your permit is prepared before it expires: list of documents, application to the ministry, follow-up until the decision. We take care of the paperwork for you.

A Change to Check
A change of employer or of status can require a new authorisation. The official rules are on guichet.public.lu; tell us about your situation and we will tell you what we can do.

Family Members Have Their Own Procedure
Family members of a person moving to Luxembourg follow their own procedure (family reunification for non-EU nationals). The official rules are on guichet.public.lu. When we handle the employee's file, we handle the family's file too.
This questionnaire is a guide, not a decision: only the Luxembourg authorities decide whether a permit is granted. The official rules are on guichet.public.lu.
